Refering early Christmas morning here in our house before the kids woke up that God's word states that "In the last days MANY will depart from the faith giving into to other evils". This struck me both ways in that first we are living in the last days as we see God rapidly being displaced in areas where He was once proudly positioned. I am saddened as the Church and believers have ceased to be like the early disciples who BOLDY proclaimed Jesus Christ to any and every body and did not shy away from conflict or ever run from an opportuity to show Jesus's love and compassion. I strongly believe we are the church of Laodicea John writes about in Rev 3:14 where we are neither cold or hot but lukewarm and because of this God says he will spit us out of his mouth. WAKE up believers and become bold in your faith and as the song Lions Den sung by Guardian says:
"You got to pray, stand your ground, lions lie down" Believe this?

I was also reminded that for me not to worry about what other believers are doing or what the church is or is not doing but I know what I need to do and that is to be BOLD for Jesus Christ in all that I do, say and everywhere I go! The first chapter of Acts the disciples are told to "remain in Jerusalem"!!! This tells me to take care of my own backyard first before I expand my scope.

We are in the last days and now more then ever individual believers need to become bold, become like Daniel in the lions den, Paul in prison, Stephen preaching and speak, tell and show the aswesome person of Jesus Christ. Keith Green who is today with the Lord wrote a song which the title says it all:

"How Can They Live Without Jesus"

Only Jesus,

I agree Rob! More than that. I hear alot of the church whine and complain. Ohh how hard it is.
I don't understand this. Being in a secular state of mind before. I didn't have a problem standing up for what I believed. Why would being saved make it hard to do?

People are soo conserned on being politically Correct. Or To each his/her own.
That they forget. Those same people that are doing this, are on a Highway to Hell.

Most of them already know this. They don't need to be told this.
But they do need to know Who Jesus Christ is.

I was doing this study on this guy Called Javier Solana? I think thats right.
Anyway has anyone heard of Him? If ever before in history. For someone to ever have fit the bill of the AntiChrist! This guys position is perfect and so on the spot of The Bible it amazes me.

Now I'm not saying He is the AntiChrist. You'll have to look him up and judge for yourselves.
But if by any chance that he is? Are we ready for the Tribulation? Is the Church Ready?
Remember the Tribulation is the point in time. Where most Christians will be Martyred!
Are We ready to die for what we believe? Are we ready to see the persecution of the Church?
Who will stand? Who will endure to the end?

Now if you believe in the Pre trib Rapture of the Church. Please point out your Belief in Scripture for me. Cause I really don't see it. Allthough I hope I'm wrong in this. Throughout all the Prophecies in the Bible. I haven't found that the church will be taken before the Antichrist arrives on the scene..
Although I have been to many churches that have taught this. I tend to believe what I read more.
Remember this is only my opinion. I still love the church. I just wish they did more to reach out.

Feel free to give your beliefs and scripture. I won't kick you off. lol
I will also show you why I beleive what I do.
Let's make this the first Bible Study.

Dan,
For most of my Chrisian life I was consumed with the notion of the Rapture and would it be pre, post, mid or not at all and after many years of countless debates, some arguments and soul searching I finally reached the following conclusion: IT DOESN'T MATTER WHEN THE TRIBULATION HAPPENS!!!!!! Yes I believe it doesn't matter for the simple reason in that while here on earth we were given very specific instructions by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ WHOM by the way stated" of that day and hour know no man, not the angels in heaven or even Jesus" so what are we supposed to to? Well first of I believe it to be a very clever trap set by Satan to have believers engage in countless debates on when Jesus will be returning as he knows this causes divides in amongst believers and as we debate this topic that has no clear answer we lose site of the only 4 things Jesus told us to do and focus on after he ascended up to heaven"

1)Feed the poor
2)Care for the homeless
3)Care for the widows and orphans
and last but certantly not least
4)Tell others about Jesus Christ

# 4 is key or should be in the life of every believer because it doesn't matter what or how you believe the rapture takes place in the end it's either heaven or hell for everybody and our mission is to make sure that those around us; friends, family, co-workers and compete strangers hear the awesome message of Jesus Christ and know there is a way of escape from the wraths of hell!! Christ also told us not to worry about tomorrow but worry for today and make the most of today which means that we had better be doing the 4 things listed above and not find ourrselves bogged down in endless debates on issues as the Rapture. I do believe a certain way with regards to the Rapture of the Church but I don't see it as my job to try to convince other Christians to switch to my position at the expense of the lost who only face hell while we debate the Rapture. I am comforted in the words of Christ "I will not allow you to be temped above what you are able to handle BUT will provide a way of escape"!! This is all we need to know when it comes to when the Rapture of the Church takes place. If we go through the Tribulation then Christ promises that even after all the hardships and hardships that the end prize is an eternity with Him!!!

We as a body need to stop the endless debates on such matters and focus more on the lost and doing what we can to tell and show them Jesus Christ. Don't get me wrong guys I love the debates but have been convicted over the years that Satan loves our debates even more as this takes our eyes off the ultimate prize with is talking, preaching, and living Jesus Christ to the unbelievers.

My thoughts and God Bless,

Rob S

I like your opinion. And it's great to have you on here. I agree with the arguement debate. It's pointless.
On the other hand. The rapture was placed in the Bible for a reason.
No man will know when it will happen.
The Tribulation on the other hand. Is a VERY IMPORTANT MATTER!
Not only do ALL The Prophets throughout the entire Bible talk about it.
But there is an Entire Book on it Called Revelation!
Not to metion it is my favorite. lol

It is the Book of Revelation. That Convinced me to get saved it also helps me to stay saved. Seeing Prophecy unfold before my very own eyes helps me to understand how REAL God is.
It means His Prophecies (His Promises) are being fulfilled.
This Means His Promises To me personally, are being keeped. (Which happens to be the Only promises ever keeped from another person. In my entire Lifetime!)

For me not to focus on His Prophecies. Would cause me personally, To see a world of no hope!
Jesus even told us the signs to look for and to look up when this happens. This is good news not bad! To consider the rapture (caught up) to be a thing not to look for?
That raises alot of questions.
1 Thess 4
13 But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.

15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep.

16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.

17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18Therefore comfort one another with these words.

(its the hope of Him coming back.)
Jesus talks about it. Many times while he was here.

The entire Chapter of Matthew 24 Talks about it. And Jesus is the one talking. But I will post just a part of it.
Matthew 24
36 “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. 37 But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 38 For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39 and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 40 Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left.

41Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left. 42 Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. 43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. 44 Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect

(First he tells what is going to happen then tells us what will after that.)
It is also in Luke 17

31 “In that day, he who is on the housetop, and his goods are in the house, let him not come down to take them away. And likewise the one who is in the field, let him not turn back. 32 Remember Lot’s wife. 33 Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it. 34 I tell you, in that night there will be two men in one bed: the one will be taken and the other will be left. 35Two women will be grinding together: the one will be taken and the other left. 36 Two men will be in the field: the one will be taken and the other left.”
37 And they answered and said to Him, “Where, Lord?”
So He said to them, “Wherever the body is, there the eagles will be gathered together.”

(Remeber These are Jesus' Words not mine.)
The cool part about all of this is. Not only is it in the New Testiment But the Old as well. David talks about it. Daniel talks about it Isaiah. Most of the prophects, It is a part of what will be our History.
That and a very exciting day. At least for those that are truely saved.
I will not push someone to believe what I believe. I do ask That you make your own Judgement and Know for sure, why you Beleive what you believe. If it comes to not questioning the Bible anymore.
How do you expect God to give you the answers?
I will not now or ever Believe what man tells to believe.
I have heard preacher after Preacher, pastors, bishops, So called fathers. (which by the way Jesus tells us not to call them by)
Dr's and Reverends. With different views, differnent beliefs. and Many of them are very good at what they do. Alot more I'm afraid seem to be way off.

If what they say does not Line up with The Bible itself. (IT IS WRONG) no matter how pretty it sounds.
What I believe about the Rapture is not important to others. But for me it is a big deal.

I tend to keep what Jesus tells me. Very close to my heart. Because that is what matters.
I won't sit around debating about it. I already know what to believe Lol. How? Cause the Bible tells me so. lol
;D ;)
God is sooo Awesome He already gave us the answers To everything about life. At least what is important.
All we have to do is Read, And Listen.

I love scripture and love to post it so people will actually read it instead of taking my word for it. I find that just putting the scripture number on the post, nobody actually reads them.
Sorry if the posts are to long.
Thank you soo much Rob for being here, and your posts.
it helps me read the Bible even more. I really love it.
God bless you man.

Bro,
Great insights and I as well love the subject of the "end times" for many reasons first of which is that all we see going on around us in this mixed up world was written about in the awesome book we call the Bible!!! I remember way back in 1973 when I was invited by a friend to attend his church and see a movie called Left Behind and not being a christian how much this movie scared the life out of me and knowing right then and there that I did not want to go through any of what the movie showed related to the Tribulation! It was shortly after seeing this movie that I attended a concert by Larry Norman and he sang his song "I Wish We'd All Been Ready" that I gave my heart and soul to this person Jesus Christ. I believe in a literal rapture, 7 year tribulation, 1000 year reign after the trib and the New Heaven and New Earth where we become the Bride of Christ for eternity. I did not want to give you the impression that I dismiss any of these events all of which are clearly supported and stated in scripture many in the references you quoted I just wanted to share that as Christians sometimes we become our own stummbling blocks when we enter into debates on subjects that even our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ did not give clear answers. What I like to do when I discuss these subjects with other brothers and sisters is not debate "when" things happen but what can we do collectively as believers to take this information on subjects as the Rapture, Seal/Bowl/Trumpet Judgements, Tribulation, AntiChrist/Beast/False Prophet ALL of which I believe will take place and use as a means to reach others for Jesus.
I Tim 4:1 states:
"The Spirit clearly says that in the later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons"
I believe Paul is talking about believers and especially the church which I see everywhere I go in my travels. This is a trend that is troubling to me and should serve as a wake up call to believers that yes the time is close at hand when we could hear at any second the "Trump of God sound" (Rev 4:1) and hear those words spoken by our Lord "Come up here"!!!!!!
The words I especially like in verse 2 of chapter 4 are "At once" Our God again will prove he is not fooliing around and again as always true to His words from Genesis to Revelation.

We as Christians need to study and know all we can about what the scripture has to say about these end time events for the simple reason to be able as the scriptures state" be ready to give an account to every man who asks you about the hope within you". It is only by daily reading, praying and then APPLYING God's word will we be equipped to engage others.
I believe we are the Church of Laodicea spoken about in Rev 3:14 where today's church and many believers are lukewarm in their faith and non resolve to be more like Jesus Christ and I for one don't like the idea of Christ spitting me out of his mouth!!! What an awesome God that even after this rebuke to today's church and believers He ends the earthly church age in Rev 3:20 by saying (my paraphrase) "Hey I am still knocking at your door and will continue to knock until you open up and let me back in"

John stated it perfectly as he closed the book of Revelation in 22:20b "Amen. Come, Lord Jesus"

WOW what an awesome God we serve!!!

Blessed

Dan,
I've read the Left Behind series. About 6 of them. Do you think these are accurate? I know I can go back and check the bible to see if anything's misleading..The bad part is I don't know my bible that well :-[ But I will. That is a promise that I've made to myself. And by reading your post Dan, you've inspired me more! 8-)

I have studied the book of Revelation and prophecy for over 20 years and even after all this study I can honestly tell you that there is so much I still don't know but for sure I can tell you that our God is in total control over everything and it will be His timetable and results!

I as well read the entire left behind series and I am a believer that this entire series is NOT intended for the believers but will be the most valuable book people will be seeking once the Church is raptured off this earth as described in Rev 4:1. Leheay and Jenkins did a masterful job in telling the entire end times story which for the unbeliever who picks these books up during the tribulation period will be able to relate and see what will be coming for the next 7 years. Let's face it the book of Revelation is a very difficult book to not only read but to study and one can not just study the book of Revelation but has to use the entire word of God in connecting all the dots. Other books of the Bible contain awesome nugget of prophecy such as Daniel, Isaiah, Zechariah, Ezekiel and others. Books written by many may over thousands of years all connecting the dots which shows just how mighty and awesome is the God we serve. One thing the book of Revelation or a study of end times or prophecy should do for Christians and that is we need to wake up and start being the radical believers we are called to be and not passive and as you stated politically correct. Our Lord was radical, bold, and spoke with authority and chose 12 men who were equally as radical and not timid. Scripture tell us to be bold, not silent pew sitters afraid to go into the gutter (Craig Gross's book which I highly recommend) and reach the lost for Jesus.

I will leave you with the following verse which every Christian having a desire to become bold memorize

II Tim 1:8
"So do not be ashamed to testify about our Lord"!!!!!!!!

Only Jesus

Only Jesus

yes, I read these books before I was saved then once I saw the Passion of Christ. That did it. I fell in love with our wonderful Savior Jesus!

Yes that's him, lol I can't say he is. But every thing he is in charge of fits every aspect that the Bible talks about.
It really is very interesting. I'll show you more here real soon.
It's kinda cool.
Definetly something to keep you eye on.

I also love the Left Behind Series At least the movies. I just couldn't get into reading the books. lol
I find that most books not all tend to bore me. Not sure why that is.
The only book that actually open up to me. Makes me sit right where everything is going on. It The Bible itself!

I heard soo many people tell me that they just can't get into it. Or even understand it. lol The same way I am with other books.

As far as Left Behind. Awesome I love the entire story.
But to me thats excatly what it is a story. That makes you think.
You are right In the Tribulation many will be seeking these.
This is also why I want to start The vision for the World project.
So it will stick in there hearts and also be memorized so they wont need a book to read. They will be able to from thier own heart.

Be sure to check out what I started in the music section.

When it comes to the Book of Revelations well..... lol
I just love the book For me it is soo well put together.
You are right! You have to go through the whole Bible to translate it.
But, if you ever have read the whole Bible from Beginning to end. This makes a world of difference, by the time you get to Revelations. It is soooo exciting to be there.

Personally I think people need to stop (Symbolizing the Book) and start taking it more literal. At least for the most part.
Certain areas are used for other areas to be looked up.
But most of them are very literal.
You have to read it like this. and understad that, John had never seen anything like what we have today.
Isaiah, Zechariah, Ezekiel, and all of them, Had never seen anything like to tools we use in warfare. Or even Cars for that matter.
The machines we have today Look like locusts, look like dragons. and many other things. Take a thousand apache helicopters swarming over the land. Look at them, hear them, watch what they can do in a warfare situation, Then read that verse!

A mountian being tossed into the ocean? Killing a third of mankind.
Could that be an asteriod?

All the way through the whole book John describes things that we have or will have in the very near future.
A mark on/in the right hand or forehead. That noone can buy, sell, or trade without it?
Look up Digital Angel. This thing is awesome. lol
I can go on and on with this.
We have today what all the prophets saw way back then.
We live in the To and Fro generation Daniel speaks of.
In the age where knowlege will be increased.
(The Net)
I believe Jesus is coming soon. I love all this. This means I get to go home. lol
We do have an awesome God.
I don't look at it like doom and gloom.
I see all this To God's Glory And Jesus takin His Bride. We get to go to Paradise. And Party Hard. Then come back to take over This world. We get to wipe out With Jesus The entire planet and get rid of all evil here.
That is awesome.
I just want one shot to give satan a black eye. Real hard. Just one shot is all I ask. lol

Hope this wasn't to long. lol

Ah that's what's just awesome about the our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, He will take care of Satan, the Beast and False Prophet (satanic trinity) all by himself and cast him into the bottomless pit for all eternity. We are on the right side of the war with our commander in chief Jesus Christ leading us into battle. We also have the ultimate weapon, the Word of God that is sharper then any two edged sword!

Fight on Brothers and Sisters because the end of near.

Bro,
Guess what we have shots at Satan each and every day and this comes in the form of living a life that is pleasing to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Another way we get to take hard shots at Satan is by talking to others about Jesus Christ because the word says that the angels rejoice, and in heaven when a single sinner turns to Jesus......you know what the awesome thing about this picture is that Satan today is planted before the Throne of God accusing us day and night and when he accuses us I can just see our Lord saying,,,,"ah Satan yes but did you see what Dan and or Rob did today,,they shared with someone the awesome story of forgiveness and salvation to one of yours and they accepted ME!!!

That my brother is a huge black eye that we can give Satan each and every day just by being true to God's word. The other side of me says yes it would be sweet to actually and physically knock the living daylights out of him with a right hook!!!!

I Totally agree. Be angry sin not. I understand all of this, But to physically take him down all it would take is one shot. lol
If this Music Bible thing actually takes off and we get enough people on this.
We will be taking Him down. Just need more people to get involved. lol

Wow... Hi everyone, I'm new here, just checking everything out.. this one was pretty intense..
I won't go into much but I agree with the end time statements.. amazing times we live in.
A few years ago my husband and I were going through some tough times and we were going to call it quits.. anyways he went out into the field, pretty depressed and God gave him a vision. There were angels in the clouds and three figures and one came to the edge and told him " tell the people, behold I am comming with power and glory" get ready now... and lightning literally shook him and was hitting around him.. The lord said GO.. TELL THEM..
So he got into his truck and headed for home.. as he was driving he could see lightning hitting beside him out the window and everytime it hit a voice would say GO FASTER..
So when he got home and walked in I thought he had a stroke... his whole body was shaking and he was talking like he did have one... slow and slurred.. He got on the phoned and told the people that came into his mind and we sat down to try to figure out what happened.. still don't know... within a few hours he returned to normal...
After this God gave me a song and I was thinking of a chorus.. and this came to me...
Oh, we’re living in perilous times

Believe in who you are and who God is

Oh we’re living in perilous days

Believe in who you are and what he gave

To be free

Anyways.. at the time I didn't even know what perilous meant or if it was in the Bible..
so I looked it up and there it was..2 Timothy 3:1-2
Well I'm glad to be here and looking foward to more interesting reading
Blessings

That is an amazing story. I have found out when God wants to get our attention He will do it. lol
That's a good thing. Keeps us on our toes.
Not sure why some don't have these kinds of experiences.

I sometimes wish some people would get them, just to wake em up.

Most it's who God chooses. For His own purpose.
What your husband went through. It a great thing. It means Gods as certain plans for His and your lives.
It's is an awesome thing to have you joined up with us.
God bless you Mel.
Would love to be able to talk to your Husband sometime as well.
